The newly launched Nursing Home Administrators Peer Networking Group gathered last week at Columbia County Health Care Center for the second of four meetings scheduled for 2026. The quarterly networking sessions provide administrators, assistant administrators, and those who are in the process of obtaining their NHA license with an opportunity to connect with colleagues, share experiences, discuss industry challenges, and learn practical leadership strategies.
This quarter’s meeting focused on managing stress and burnout, with discussions centered on identifying workplace stressors, assessing team capacity, and addressing workload challenges that contribute to burnout. Participants explored effective delegation as a leadership strategy to balance workloads, develop team members, and increase engagement, while sharing common barriers and solutions from their communities. The session concluded with practical strategies for building team resilience, recognizing early signs of stress, and implementing proactive support plans to promote well-being and sustain joy in the workplace.
The Nursing Home Administrators Peer Networking Group continues to provide a valuable forum for collaboration, professional development, and peer support. Members look forward to the remaining two meetings this year as they continue to strengthen leadership practices and enhance the quality of care within their organizations.
