Morrow Home Community in Sparta plans to build an assisted living facility next to Tomah Health.
The project has been six years in the making. Morrow Home Community and Tomah Health have been working toward this deal since 2020, and in May of this year, Morrow Home purchased three acres of land on the hospital's campus to bring it to reality.
The new 36-bed community-based residential facility is expected to break ground in the spring of 2027, with completion targeted for winter 2028.
"The need is there," Morrow Home Community CEO Daniel Meyer said in a statement quoted by Wisconsin Health News.
