Explore Our Nutrition-Focused Sessions

For dietary and nutrition professionals, the conference offers a variety of sessions exploring the connections between food, hospitality, nutrition, resident well-being, and quality care.

From Meal Service to Hospitality: Building a Culture Residents Can Taste
What if complaints about tasteless food are actually important signals about resident care? This interactive session explores how age, medications, and environment can affect taste and nutrition while introducing hospitality-focused practices that can improve resident satisfaction, support nutrition, and empower staff.

From Soil to Service: Leveraging Sustainable Farming as a Strategic Differentiator in Senior Living
Learn how Trinity Senior Services Clare Gardens' integrated organic farm supports culinary services through fresh, seasonal ingredients. This panel explores the connection between sustainable agriculture, resident wellness, and operational strategy, including considerations for incorporating farm-to-table practices.

Understanding CMS Surveys: Compliance Requirements for Food & Nutrition
Prepare your team for CMS surveys with a closer look at the F-Tags governing food safety, nutritional adequacy, resident rights, therapeutic diets, and staff training. This session provides practical guidance for strengthening compliance and preparing for annual and complaint surveys.

Weighty Matters: Understanding Obesity Trends, Disparities, and Implications for Long-Term Care Providers
Wisconsin's changing obesity landscape has important implications for long-term care. Explore emerging trends, disparities, food insecurity, treatment considerations, and the infrastructure, workforce, and clinical needs providers should be thinking about now.

And nutrition professionals aren't the only ones who will find valuable content. With 42 educational sessions, Change Makers offers opportunities for professionals across the aging services continuum to learn, connect, and bring new ideas back to their organizations.

Whether you're a Certified Dietary Manager, social worker, nursing home administrator, Registered Dietitian, nurse, or another aging services professional, there's something in this year's program designed to support your professional growth.
