How compensation is designed and communicated says a lot about an organization’s culture. At our upcoming Workforce Network Meeting (Thursday, May 14, 9:30-10:30am on Teams), we’ll explore how compensation strategy can reinforce values, strengthen engagement, and support long-term workforce sustainability in long-term care.

The meeting will feature two special guests who will bring data, insight, and practical perspectives to the conversation.

Brittany Ritterhaus, Survey Manager at MRA, will open the session with highlights from last year’s LeadingAge Wisconsin–MRA Long-Term Care Compensation Survey. Brittany will share key trends and takeaways from the data, helping organizations understand where the market has been and where it’s headed. She’ll also set the stage for this year’s survey, which opens June 1 and runs through July 3, and discuss why broad participation is critical to building a strong, reliable compensation picture for the field.

Following the data-driven overview, Molly Carpenter, Director of Workforce Strategy and Development at LeadingAge, will continue the conversation by exploring organizational culture through a compensation lens. Molly will challenge communities to think beyond traditional benefits packages and consider how pay practices, benefits, and total rewards can authentically reflect their commitment to workforce stewardship.

In particular, Molly will discuss how engaging employees in dialogue about non-traditional benefits, beyond health care and 401(k)s, can make a meaningful difference in employees’ quality of life and their willingness to build lasting careers in long-term care. From flexibility and professional growth to supports that reflect real-life needs, these conversations can help organizations strengthen trust, engagement, and retention.

This Workforce Network Meeting is designed for anyone interested in aligning compensation strategies with organizational values, while finding new ways to support and retain a dedicated workforce. Join us for timely data, thoughtful discussion, and practical ideas you can bring back to your community.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, May 14, 9:30-10:30am on Teams.  Register for your link to attend.
