Calling all developing leaders! LeadingAge Wisconsin is now accepting applications for our 2026-27 John Sauer Leadership Academy (I-LEAD) program through September 18, 2026.

The John Sauer Leadership Academy (formerly known as I-LEAD) is a transformational growth and development program for leaders that raises self-awareness, builds professional networks, offers diverse perspectives, and teaches new leadership practices. Participants will engage in four face-to-face learning experiences, most of which will be held at member communities throughout the state, and include intimate conversations with aging services leaders and exploration of leadership styles through group discussions, exercises and readings.

The dates and locations for the 2026-27 program are:

  • Session 1: October 14-15, 2026 in Green Lake
  • Session 2: January 13-14, 2027 in La Crosse
  • Session 3: April 14-15, 2027 in Fond du Lac
  • Session 4: August 4-5, 2027 in Stoughton

The application includes more details about the program, eligibility information, submission requirements, and testimonials from former program Fellows. This program is open to any LeadingAge Wisconsin member or subscriber. If accepted into the program, payment is due by October 9, 2026.

Our program Coaches and Facilitators are passionate, experienced, and dedicated leaders in long-term care who have guided many program Fellows by sharing their wisdom and perspectives and offering inspiration and motivation.

Coaches for the 2026-27 program are:

  • Dave Fulcher – CEO, Trinity Senior Services
  • Jill Gengler – President, Chippewa Manor Corp; Administrator, Chippewa Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation
  • Mark Radmer – Administrator, Harbor Haven Health & Rehabilitation

Facilitators for the 2026-27 program are:

  • Marissa Kornack – Administrator, Wood County Annex & Health Center
  • Amber Schroeder – CFO, St. Paul Elder Services
