According to the Wisconsin Election Commissions’ website, early in-person voting for the August 11 Primary is July 28 to August 8.

Under Federal and State laws, polling places must be handicapped accessible and offer accommodation such as:

• Accessible parking
• Priority access to the front of the line for voters who are 75 years or older and/or disabled
• Seated and wheelchair-accessible voting booths
• Accessible voting machines for voters with visual or hearing impairments
• Magnifiers
• Curbside voting (as a courtesy, call ahead to arrange)
• Trained poll workers—one from each political party—who may assist a voter upon request

Early in-person voting often results in shorter waiting time for residents.

Planning ahead is key when transporting residents to early voting polling places. Transportation can be a challenge. It is important to ensure activist organizations are not transporting residents with the intent to influence their vote.

If residents wish to vote but are unable to attend early voting in person, contact your local municipal clerk immediately to request a visit from the specialized voting deputies. Specialized voting deputies can only be sent to designated care facilities. It's important to note that this may not include facilities like independent living senior communities or senior apartments where residents do not receive services. Please check with your local municipal clerk if you have any questions regarding your facility's designation.
