LeadingAge Wisconsin Member Wanda Plachecki, executive director for the LaCrosse County Long Term Care and Residential Services Division, recently testified at a meeting of the Speaker's Task Force on Elder Services.

Wanda's testimony shared insights from the front lines of residential elder care, focusing on:

  1. Behavioral health services for individuals with neurocognitive disorders and complex behaviors, including crisis stabilization and respite care
  2. Funding challenges
  3. Workforce shortages
  4. Care coordination across service levels
