The CDC has released a new "Think Ebola" factsheet to help healthcare providers recognize potential Ebola cases. While no cases have been reported in the United States, a deadly outbreak continues in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, and Uganda.
The factsheet is designed to assist providers in identifying Ebola that may present in healthcare settings from patients or staff who have traveled to affected areas. Early detection and prompt action are critical to protecting the health and safety of individuals living and working in healthcare settings, including LeadingAge member communities.
Providers are encouraged to review the factsheet and ensure staff are prepared to recognize and respond to potential cases.
