Business leaders, architects, project managers, senior staff and residents of Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) gathered Wednesday, Feb. 11 to celebrate the dedication of the newest additions to Dickson Hollow (Menomonee Falls) and Kirkland Crossings (Pewaukee), two senior living communities in southeastern Wisconsin. These dedications mark the latest expansion for PHS, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit senior living providers.

“We are thrilled to dedicate these two new community expansions and offer vibrant, meaningful senior living for older adults in southeastern Wisconsin,” said Jon Fletcher, president and CEO of PHS. “As the population of older adults continues to grow and the demand for high-quality housing increases, Dickson Hollow and Kirkland Crossings demonstrate our commitment to meeting that need with dignity, respect and care. In addition to these two community expansions, we are actively seeking additional opportunities to grow our footprint and expand our services in the Milwaukee metro area.”

The dedication underscores the region’s need for senior housing. According to Forward Analytics, “During this decade, the number of [Wisconsin] residents 75 or older is expected to increase 41% from 407,000 to 574,000.”

Dickson Hollow currently features 42 assisted living apartments, 18 memory care apartments and 120 independent living apartments. The new expansion adds 117 new independent living apartments. Set on 20 acres of wooded green space, the community features walking trails and natural surroundings supporting an active and fulfilling lifestyle.

Kirkland Crossings includes 40 assisted living apartments, 20 memory care apartments, 60 independent living apartments and 22 townhomes. The expansion adds an additional 76 independent living apartments.

Spanning 12 acres of natural prairie in the heart of Lake Country, Kirkland Crossings offers a thoughtfully designed, engaging environment supporting connection and daily enrichment.

Both communities are owned, managed and operated by PHS, which has more than 60 communities across the Upper Midwest.

“Our mission is to honor God by enriching the lives and touching the hearts of older adults,” Fletcher concluded. “With the Dickson Hollow and Kirkland Crossings expansions, we’re expanding that commitment and building places where older adults can thrive, feel supported, valued and at home.”
