Recently, Pine Haven Christian Communities was recognized by LifeLoop with the Communities That Shine award in the category of Brilliance in Family Engagement.
"This was more than just an award, it was a celebration of something we care deeply about: staying connected with the families of those we serve," said Emma Huehns, Marketing Project Coordinator.
The LifeLoop team visited the Haven Drive Campus to present the award and meet the community's Life Enrichment staff. During their visit, the LifeLoop team spent time with residents and saw firsthand how the community uses LifeLoop and iN2L technology.
iN2L consists of mobile touch screens that allow residents to enjoy games like trivia and help them to easily move between households, creating more opportunities for meaningful interactions. With LifeLoop, families can stay connected to their loved ones, even from a distance. They can check the daily activity calendar, see what their loved one has participated in, and receive updates and photos, bringing peace of mind and a sense of closeness.
According to staff, the tool has truly become a lifeline, not just for planning and scheduling activities, but for building and nurturing relationships. "Whether it’s a daughter seeing that her mom participated in a hymn sing, or a grandson receiving a photo of grandpa playing bingo, these small moments mean the world," said Huens. "LifeLoop’s communication tools make it simple and cost-effective to invite families to events, and families love seeing photos of their loved ones enjoying activities. Often family members tell us that they will check their app, see what activities there were in the morning, then call in the afternoon to talk with their resident. These features have helped us use technology to enrich daily life while keeping everyone connected and engaged," said Martina Wessels, Life Enrichment Manager.
